BKSA Event Dates 2010

After a very successful and windy 2009 the BKSA are proud to announce the Events dates for 2010

Building on the concept of Kiteival (4 National Championship Events – Kitesurfing Freestyle and Course, Freestyle Kitelandboard, Freestyle Kitebuggy) the British championships in al l disciplines will be decided with these and some standalone events

April 16th-18th
National Course Racing and Wave Jam – Watergate - Cornwall

May 21st-23rd
Kiteival – Redcar – Tees Valley

June 18th-20th
Kiteival – Swansea – South Wales CANCELLED

July 9th-10th
National Freestyle – Hunstanton - Norfolk

August 6th-8th
Kiteival – Barrow - Cumbria

September 11th-12th
National Course Racing – Poole - Dorset

September 17th-19th
Kiteival – Ayr – Ayrshire - Scotland

September 20th-26th
Wavemasters 2010 – TBC

October 14th-17th
Kiteival Finals – Blackpool

October 18th- 24th
British Speed Championships - Weymouth


All events are subject to funding and contracts – and may be cancelled up to 30 days prior

Other events may be added to the calendar
A reviewed rule and scoring book will be released mid February

To enter any event you must be a member of the BKSA

You must register for the season’s events by filling in a form, please email events@kitesurfing.org

This is hugely important so we can keep in touch with you and have emergency contact details

will the kiteival events be the same as last year for the land and course racing disciplines and run just on the saturday and sunday?

Went to a kite event back in 2004 in ayr - the council were very supportive at the time and it was run by craig at Windthings in Troon

The low green was used but my wife is from Prestwick/Ayr and she thinks thats the Ayr Gold Cup racing weekend so the beach and green will be jumping and there should be lots of spectators

i thought it might have been held there. got a mate who kites a lot in ayr and he says its good. should be a good event i hope
