  • Colin McCulloch - In Memory of

Postby Caroline McCulloch » Thu Aug 06, 2009 12:23 pm

Thank you to everyone who has posted on this forum. It was very touching and it has meant a great deal to read such wonderful posts. Colin fought this disease all the way though and his friends were so helpful in his battle. He died peacefully in his sleep at the Rowans Hospice. Both his Mum and I were there holding his hands.

Throughout his illness Colin wanted to do something in order to raise money for charity. In his memory I have created two web pages which you can log on to in order to donate if desired. The family would prefer this then funeral flowers. The sites are
    www.justgiving.com/colin-mcculloch
    and
    www.justgiving.com/colin-mcculloch0
His lostcauseboards.com website will be kept alive. I am adding a section so that people can post their stories/ memories of Colin (not condolances please) so that I can create a memory book for the kids and the rest of the family. Please please please post unedited, true to life stories of all the good times. They really do help.

    Thank you again
    Caroline, Joshua and Mia x

    Hey Caroline

Stoked you came on here to read all the posts. Must be a bit of a double edged sword reading all the wonderful things that people have said about Col.

I hope everyone returns all those awesome times and generous hours of fun and laughter colin brought into our live by donating to this wonderful charity. :P

Guys the 500 pound mark is a bit low really, this kitesurfing community can donate way above that.

I am donating right now ($100 au, 50 quid) and if we reach 2500 pound then I will double my donation.

Put your money towards what Colin would have really wanted and donate at least 10 quid.
That is only 250 people of which that is only a fraction of the people Col had a massive influence on during his amazing adventure through life.

    Thanks
    Leon

Wow - thank you to everyone that has donated. It really does help. Just to let you know, Colin's website www.lostcauseboards.com is now up and running with a RIP home page and memory book. Please write your memories for the kids.

Guys, What a brilliant effort so far, over a 1,500 quid between the two charities which is great.

Over half half way to 2,500 and I can empty the pockets for these great causes.

    In my thoughts everyday mate.
