Looking forward to getting out on the mainstream sizes when conditions moderate.[/quote]

You should have been out sunday then ... Instead of poledancing or whatever you do- perhaps looking for gay signs??

don't joke; saturday was brutal off the front, cold, heavy and much windier than the last time I took that 7 out. I'm still a mess now. I sent a 7 and 12 555 down there today with someone, they should be around this week / weekend, as I'm away. If you see one demand a go!

Yes... Shinn and I are going to see Pete from WCWS late next week, so we will see if can take a couple of kites for the SW posse.

Are there any good demo weekends coming up in the SW? I heard talk of one at Braunton in the not too distant future....

This is where things look different from how I remembered. The safety as set up by the factory has the emergency release connected to both front lines, so in effect when you let go of the bar the kite is held in maximum depower on both front lines.

However, if you re-wire the lines so that the ball is below the front line loop intersection, and attatch the safety line to one of the front lines directly (instead of it sharing the same connection with the other front line) then you would get a total one line re-ride.
Shinn feels that the depower is so great that you should not need this, and as such with the joint front line safety it will make re-attacthing and re-riding the kite much easier.

Thanks again for the answers Mike.
Just a bit of feedback to let you know all that question answering was not in vain.
I bought the bar to use with a modded Omega 9m. I will have to figure out if its best to flag it to 2 front lines or one, but if I turn the black ball upside down and connect the front line to the depower below the ball, that should work, provided there is enough length down to the top of the depower straps to flag the Omega out.

Then I had to decide whether I would ever need a 555 7m kite, and took a gamble that I will when I eventually put the time in to progress enough with my big waveboard, and got one, so I hope the Omega will drop nicely on 2 front lines.

I have seen that very good waverider you mentioned, using one of his three 555's, so no worries about how good the kite is.

The first one works for me only when I also have imageshack open, and I dont have time to figure out what the problem is, so hopefully one of them will work for others.
