Slingshot European Team Hit Poole!

Shoot the breeze and stay in the loop with the unhinged and unhooked word on the street.

  • Slingshot European Team Hit Poole!

Postby Dom Yule » Fri May 05, 2006 11:02 am

Well - get rid of those 5/3's, summer is here now and we really should only be wearing shorties from here on in... saw a guy go in yesterday with his short suit... then saw him get out REALLY quick. Won't be long though!

I've been contacted by Christiaan Brouwer from Holland, he's organised a road trip with 9 of his fellow rippers (an quite possibly Reuben Lenten too!) to come and hook up with his English buddies. The crew will be arriving here in Poole on Friday May 19th and staying until the Sunday night.

Format is to be pretty laid back but the key is to get on the water with these boys. They're super nice chaps and will be happy to talk through any tricks or techniques that you've been working on. We'll be either in the harbour or on the Sandbanks side of the spit depending on weather conditions - call The Waterboard for more detail on 01202 738448.

Stacey from Slingshot will be there with a set of demo kites and boards for you to test, THE GRF is rumoured to be making an appearance (which will be classic if Reuben turns up - those two have the greatest conversations I've ever heard!) and Rou from Kitesurf will be heading down wirth his camera and pen.

Hope to see some of you down here!

There'll be another classic conversation if he turns up wearing that Maui Magic crap - maybe end up with a bloody nose like he did last time

TMW I'll be pleased to chat with you, might even let you look at my copy of spare change, just as soon as you'd paid the £19.99 appearance fee I charge..

Forecast is looking killer for this weekend - the guys are on the way over Friday pm, Jeff Roberts is still here from the States, mags are loaded, radio station heading on over too. Could be classic.

    Come and enjoy the festivities!

Hope there'll still be some action on sunday, one of my mates has (rather rudely) decided to get married this weekend (had to be a windy one!). Hope I don't have too much of a hangover on sunday!
