Thats possibly THE most balanced comment I remember being made about Foils-V-inflatable kites and I'm not even considering my comments were very balanced.
At one point I had three foils and three newly acquired and cutting-edge 'C' kites, I still remember feeling there was something inconvenient about inflatable kites so I always reverted back to the foils which is probably because I had got used to them.
The only bad stuff I remember about foils was getting them wet-and-sandy and because I was a novice at the time I used to get the bridles in such a mess that I would then go over to the "C" kites. At least the "C" kites had "Massive-depower" which was a bit of a joke considering the little sheeting those early "C" kites had.
After a few sessions with the new "C" I would go back to the foils (Once they'd dried-out) because I get really fed-up with the pumping, the whole size, bulk and comparative inefficiency of inflatable kites at the time. Presumably the gap in efficiency between foils and inflatables is much smaller though still significant.
